This is such a beautiful sweater! I was immediately impressed by how super-duper soft it is! The material has that type of cozy softness both on the inside and outside, making it feel lovely against the skin and very comfortable to wear. It’s constructed of a medium-density knit, so well it’s not super thick - it is just a bit too thick for summertime wear - unless you plan to spend most of your time in air-conditioning. This sweater is absolutely perfect for fall and lightly cool winter weather though. I am super excited to wear it for our annual pumpkin patch festival as it will be just right for keeping the night’s breeze in check. I really love how versatile it is. While it looks amazing as is wearing it on its own as shown there are many other ways you can wear this. You can wear it with an undershirt giving a layered look or for using it to cover up certain areas when you want some modesty. It also goes great with a bralette either completely unbuttoned or just partially unbuttoned. It as well goes great with any type of bottom - whether it’s jeans, shorts, dress pants, or skirts - it has looked spectacular with them all. I even wore it with a pair of corduroy overalls. Every time I’ve worn it, I’ve received many compliments. This sweater also has a decent amount of stretch, which makes the fit surprisingly forgiving. I selected a size small, which fits me exactly as shown on the model. I am 5’4”, 163 pounds, with a full 34H/36G bust, and the sweater is not tight at all. For reference, my normal size for form-fitting tops is a large, and depending on the style I usually wear an XL to even a 2X when I want a baggier fit. I initially selected the small for my daughter who likes her tops to fit super snug, so I was pleasantly surprised to find that I could wear this sweater too because of the stretch. My daughter is also 5’4” and 163 pounds, but she wears a demi 34DDD. Even though we have very different bust sizes, the small fits her beautifully as well and it gives her that fitted look shown on the model. If you want the sweater to fit as shown, I would recommend choosing your true size or even sizing down. If you prefer a tad baggier, to a slightly oversized look, then I would recommend sizing up. Another thing I really appreciate is that the buttons are actually functional, not just decorative. There are real buttonholes, so you can completely unbutton the sweater and wear it open. The buttonholes on the sweater I received are quite snug though, so it takes a little finesse to get the buttons undone and re-buttoned. Hopefully they loosen slightly with use. The stitching is done very well throughout the entire sweater, and I don’t see any areas that look rushed or poorly finished. Based on the construction and quality, I expect this sweater to have great longevity. This sweater does run a little higher on the price point scale at the time of my purchase and review, but honestly, I think it is a great value for the quality. I have noticed that it goes on special from time to time, which makes this sweater an even better deal. Overall, I absolutely love this sweater! It is soft, comfortable, well-made, stretchy, versatile, and incredibly cute. I definitely recommend grabbing one - especially if you catch it on sale! Side note: I selected the Apricot version. This version has a very light ivory base tone, with soft brown trim/argyle design, and a line of dainty baby blue included in the argyle pattern. The buttons are a pearlescent ivory/light beige color and there is a light striped design in them that is seen when lighting reflects on them. The inside of the sweater is somewhat of a light grayish hue when seen from a distance however, up close it has a lighter beige tone, and you can see some of the brown and light blue colors in a petite design.
