Polka Dot Boat Neck Top

I got this in navy in an XL, and I'd say it fits more like a large. It's definitely a fitted top, and while the fabric has plenty of stretch, unfortunately that stretch created another issue for me.

I really love the look of the shirt. The polka dots, boat neckline, and fitted silhouette have a cute slightly retro/Y2K feel, and the navy is a nice alternative to basic black. The problem is that where the fabric stretches more across my chest, the color starts to look washed out and the material becomes noticeably more sheer.

That's a bummer because this feels like one of those tops where whether it's a winner will depend heavily on your individual body shape. If the fabric isn't stretching significantly across your chest, you may have absolutely no issue with it. On a curvier/bustier figure like mine, though, the print and color don't stay as consistent.

I considered whether losing a little weight would change how I feel about it, but let's be real—the chesticles aren't going anywhere.

Overall, I love the design and the fabric is stretchy, but I wish it maintained its opacity and color better when stretched. I'd especially consider sizing up if you're bustier or between sizes.

It has the weight and feel of a classic polyester blend, but the fabric is noticeably thicker than average, which feels durable and good quality. Combined with its slim fit, it keeps you nicely warm in 50–60 degree weather without feeling bulky.

Fit & Sizing Note:

This shirt runs a bit small and is naturally form-fitting. I usually flex between a Large and Extra Large depending on the brand, but I decided to size up to an XL because I prefer a slightly roomier fit. I’m so glad I did because even with sizing up, it’s still snug to the body!

Length & Quality:

If you have a longer torso or longer arms, this top is fantastic. It hits right at the hips and comes all the way down to the wrist bones. The material feels solid enough that it won't easily snag or fray in the wash, and best of all, it arrived with zero harsh chemical smell straight out of the package.

Style:

I ordered the navy base with white polka dots, and the colors in person are true to the listing photos. It’s incredibly versatile, you can easily dress it up as business casual with accessories for a work dinner, or dress it down with jeans for a casual afternoon at the park with the kids. High-quality, comfortable, and a great addition to a fall wardrobe!

I ordered this top in my usual size, medium, and found that it fits true to size. The material is soft and comfortable, and the blend of 91% polyester and 9% elastane gives it a nice amount of stretch, making it comfortable enough to wear all day.

The polka dot print and boat neckline give it a cute, classic look that works well with jeans, skirts, or dress pants. It's lightweight enough for spring and fall and also layers nicely under a cardigan or jacket when the weather gets cooler.

One thing I noticed is that the fit isn't quite as slim or fitted as it appears in the product photos. It still looks nice, but if you're hoping for a more body-hugging fit like the listing shows, you may want to consider sizing down. I was still happy with the overall look, just not the level of fitted styling I expected.

At $14.99, I think it's a good value. The fabric is soft, the quality is nice for the price, and it's a versatile top that can be dressed up or down. I'm giving it 4 out of 5 stars because the fit doesn't quite match the photos, but overall it's still a cute, comfortable shirt that I'm happy to wear.
